Oklahoma City University Law Review

Home

The Oklahoma City University Law Review is a publication committed to promoting legal scholarship.

SUBMISSION POLICY

We invite submissions of unsolicited manuscripts from judges, members of the legal academic community, and legal practitioners. We do not consider submissions from students not attending Oklahoma City University School of Law.

Submissions may be made at any time. Our Review’s goal is to give every author a response within seven days; however, because submission rates fluctuate throughout the year, it can occasionally take longer.

MANUSCRIPT GUIDELINES

We prefer manuscripts under 26,250 words (including footnotes). Manuscripts under 11,000 words will be reviewed as essays. Unsolicited book reviews under 5,000 words (including footnotes) are also welcome. Along with any manuscript, please include a resume or curriculum vitae with the author’s contact information. A cover letter concisely summarizing the manuscript’s argument is preferred but not mandatory.

We are open to publishing articles on any topic related to the legal field, including practical pieces and works written about legal education.

The Oklahoma City Law Review conforms to the citation standards set forth in THE BLUEBOOK: A UNIFORM SYSTEM OF CITATION (21st ed.) and the style conventions of The Redbook: A Manual On Legal Style (4th ed.).

REQUESTS FOR EXPEDITED REVIEW

We consider expedited requests throughout the year. The request should include the author’s name, e-mail address, telephone number, names of the journal or journals that have offered publication, and the expiration dates of those offers.
